Spezifikationen
RK3288 is a mid-range high-performance embedded application processor SoC developed by Rockchip, fabricated with 28nm HKMG semiconductor process, targeted at multimedia display, industrial control, commercial terminal and smart embedded hardware scenarios with strong video decoding and graphics rendering capability.
Core CPU Configuration
It integrates quad-core ARM Cortex-A17 processor based on ARMv7-A architecture, the maximum operating frequency reaches 1.8GHz, equipped with Neon SIMD co-processor and VFPv3 floating-point arithmetic unit to accelerate media computing and signal processing tasks. The 8-stage out-of-order pipeline brings outstanding single-core and multi-task processing efficiency, and supports dynamic frequency scaling to balance performance and power consumption.
Graphics Processing Unit
Built-in ARM Mali-T764 GPU with 16 shader cores, supporting OpenGL ES 1.1/2.0/3.1, OpenCL 1.1 and DirectX 9.3 graphics standards, with native AFBC frame buffer compression technology to reduce memory bandwidth occupation. A dedicated hardware 2D acceleration engine with MMU is integrated independently to optimize interface scrolling, image rotation and overlay rendering for smoother system display output.
Video Codec Engine
The built-in dedicated VPU hardware decoding unit supports 4K@60fps 10-bit H.265 decoding and 4K@24fps H.264 decoding, compatible with VP8, MVC and mainstream video formats. For encoding function, it realizes 1080P@30fps H.264, VP8 and MVC video compression, plus independent JPEG hardware codec module for fast picture compression and decompression. An image enhancement preprocessing and postprocessing unit is added to optimize contrast, sharpness and noise reduction of display pictures.
Memory Subsystem
Equipped with dual-channel 64-bit memory controller, compatible with DDR3, DDR3L, LPDDR2 and LPDDR3 memory particles, supporting up to 4GB external running memory to meet the bandwidth demand of 4K video and large-screen display. It connects external storage through SDIO and eMMC 4.51 interface, supporting high-speed solid-state storage expansion for system firmware and file storage.
Display Output Interfaces
Rich display driving modules are reserved, including HDMI 2.0 with HDCP 1.4/2.2 to output 4K@60fps ultra-high-definition signals; it also supports LVDS, MIPI DSI, eDP multi-channel screen interfaces, with maximum display resolution up to 3840×2160, driving industrial touch screens, advertising screens, tablet panels and smart display equipment.
Peripheral Expansion Resources
It integrates Gigabit Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0 OTG and multi-channel USB Host ports, I2S audio bus, SPI, I2C, UART, PWM, GPIO and ADC expansion pins. It carries embedded TPM security module, hardware encryption engine and secure boot unit to protect system firmware and data transmission security. Independent RTC clock and watchdog timer are configured to ensure long-term stable operation of embedded equipment.
Package and Product Specifications
The mainstream packaging form is BGA surface mount package, with tape-and-reel packaging for mass automated SMT assembly. The commercial version works within 0℃~70℃, and industrial customized versions support wide temperature range from -40℃ to +85℃. The whole chip complies with lead-free process and RoHS, REACH environmental protection specifications.
