This is a complete four-quadrant analog multiplier chip produced by Analog Devices, featuring integrated internal reference circuit and output buffer amplifier. It can directly complete analog signal multiplication, division, squaring and other mathematical operations without extra peripheral calibration components, widely used in analog signal calculation and analog communication circuits.

    Part Number Definition

AD633 stands for universal cost-effective four-quadrant analog multiplier series. J refers to commercial temperature grade specification. NZ means 8-pin PDIP through-hole plastic dual in-line packaging.

    Core Electrical Performance Parameters

The chip realizes full four-quadrant analog multiplication operation, the standard calculation formula is Vout = (Vx × Vy) / 10, built-in laser trimmed buried Zener reference to fix 10V full-scale coefficient. The total output error is controlled within 2% full scale, Y channel nonlinearity is lower than 0.1%, with excellent long-term calculation stability.

X and Y signal ports adopt differential high-impedance input design, input impedance up to 10MΩ, which will not cause load attenuation to front-end sensor and signal source. A high-impedance summing Z pin is reserved, supporting multi-channel signal superposition, gain adjustment and voltage-current conversion expansion.

Dual power supply working range is ±8V ~ ±18V, the commonly adopted working voltage is ±15V; quiescent supply current is around 4mA with low static power consumption. Small signal bandwidth reaches 1MHz, slew rate 20V/μs, fast signal response speed. Output referred noise is kept at a low level, capable of driving resistive and capacitive loads stably.

No external resistance or calibration circuit is required for basic multiplication functions, and the internal reference voltage is hardly affected by power fluctuation.

    Packaging and Assembly Specifications

8-pin standard PDIP through-hole packaging is adopted, with unified 2.54mm pin spacing, convenient for breadboard debugging, experimental circuit building and manual welding. The shell is made of flame-retardant plastic material. It is not classified as moisture-sensitive component, no time limit is required for welding after unpacking. Tube bulk packaging is adopted, suitable for laboratory prototype development and small-batch circuit assembly.

    Environmental and Compliance Standards

Commercial grade continuous operating temperature range is 0℃ ~ +70℃, suitable for indoor desktop measuring instruments, laboratory analog experiment equipment and indoor control circuit modules. The product adopts lead-free production process and complies with global environmental material restriction regulations. Monolithic integrated structure greatly simplifies analog operation peripheral circuit layout and reduces overall equipment material cost.
