Core Functional Characteristics
Built-in complete physical layer and data link layer processing modules, which independently complete signal encoding, filtering, channel noise suppression and data demodulation without heavy computing burden on external main microcontroller.
Powerful anti-interference capability adapts to harsh noise environments on household and industrial power lines. It can resist impulse noise, harmonic interference and impedance fluctuation caused by various electrical loads connected to the grid.
Supports adaptive channel estimation function. The chip automatically detects line attenuation characteristics and adjusts transmitting power and signal gain dynamically to guarantee stable communication distance under varying grid conditions.
Multiple low-power operating modes are integrated. In idle listening state, quiescent current is kept extremely low to reduce overall power consumption of battery-powered or power-supplied smart meters.
Built-in hardware CRC check and frame retransmission control mechanism ensures reliable data transmission between concentrators and terminal meters. UART interface is reserved for simple connection with mainstream MCU for data interaction.
Integrated analog front-end circuit including programmable gain amplifier and band-pass filter greatly reduces the number of discrete peripheral components, simplifies meter hardware design and lowers production costs.
Comprehensive protection circuits are arranged inside the chip to resist surge voltage conducted from power lines and electrostatic damage.
