    AD9826 is a fully integrated three-channel imaging analog front-end dedicated to CCD image sensors. K stands for industrial temperature range specification. RSZ represents 28-lead narrow SSOP surface mount plastic package. The component is delivered in tube packaging for prototype verification and small-batch production assembly.

    Core Electrical Performance Parameters

    This monolithic imaging processor is optimized for trilinear color CCD sensor signal acquisition, integrating all essential analog conditioning modules together with a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter on a single chip. Each of the three independent channels incorporates input voltage clamping circuit, correlated double sampling module, offset adjustment DAC and programmable gain amplifier. All conditioned analog signals are multiplexed into the shared high-precision 16-bit SAR ADC for digitization.

    The chip supports multiple working channel configurations. In three-channel synchronous mode, the maximum sampling rate reaches 15 MSPS; higher clock speed operation is allowed with slight degradation of overall performance. The correlated double sampling function can be completely disabled, which makes the device compatible with CIS contact image sensors, CMOS image sensors and planar array optical detectors without CCD inherent noise.

    Built-in adjustable functions cover 1x to 6x programmable gain range and ±300mV analog offset trimming, which compensates signal differences caused by illumination variation and pixel inconsistency. A stable internal voltage reference is embedded to eliminate external reference circuitry requirement.

    It adopts single 5V analog power supply ranging from 4.75V to 5.25V, with separate digital power rail supporting 3V and 5V logic level adaptation to match FPGA and mainstream image processors. The 16-bit digital sampling data is multiplexed into 8-bit parallel output for simplified wiring, and single-byte reading mode is optional. On-chip registers are configured via 3-wire serial interface to adjust gain, offset and operating modes flexibly. Typical total power consumption under normal operation is 400mW.

    Packaging and Assembly Specifications

    Encapsulated in compact 28-pin narrow SSOP package with overall dimensions 10.2mm × 5.3mm. The slim body design occupies limited PCB space for scanners, portable imaging equipment and miniature machine vision mainboards. Moisture Sensitivity Level is MSL1, so no time restriction applies to reflow soldering procedures after vacuum sealed packaging is opened. Tube packaging facilitates manual breadboard debugging, parameter calibration and small-volume trial production.
