    RTL8367SCI‑CG is an enhanced Layer 2 managed 5+2 port Gigabit Ethernet switch controller developed by Realtek Semiconductor, integrating five built-in 10/100/1000BASE-T PHY transceivers, non-blocking switching fabric and on-chip packet buffer SRAM in a single chip, upgraded with richer ACL and VLAN processing capability compared to standard RTL8367S series.

    RTL8367SCI represents the upgraded enhanced version of RTL8367S with expanded rule set and industrial-grade anti-interference optimization. CG refers to LQFP-128 surface mount package with exposed thermal pad, factory default tape-and-reel packaging for automated SMT mounting.

    Core Port & Protocol Specifications

    The chip carries five copper RJ45 ports with integrated Gigabit PHY circuits, fully compliant with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3ab and IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet standards. All ports support auto-negotiation of transmission rate and duplex mode; full duplex is available for 10M, 100M and 1000M speeds while half duplex only functions under 10M and 100M modes. Each port embeds Auto-MDI/MDIX function to automatically adjust cable pin sequence without manual distinction between straight-through and crossover cables. Two extended GMAC interfaces are fully configurable. One supports RGMII and MII modes to connect main processor or wireless SoC, the other supports SGMII and HSGMII high-speed serial interface to connect fiber optical modules for optical network uplink. It adopts wire-speed non-blocking store-and-forward forwarding architecture and supports jumbo frame transmission up to 9216 bytes. The on-chip 2K-entry MAC address lookup table supports automatic address learning, aging and static binding, with optimized hash algorithm to improve table lookup efficiency.

    Advanced Management & QoS Functions

    It supports port-based VLAN, 802.1Q tagged VLAN, port isolation and broadcast/multicast storm suppression. This model expands to 96 configurable ACL rule entries, which can filter packets based on Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4 information to implement packet discarding, traffic redirection, priority marking, CVLAN and SVLAN stacking assignment. An 8-level hardware QoS queuing mechanism distributes forwarding priority according to port mark, 802.1p tag and DSCP field to guarantee low-latency transmission for voice, video and key service data. Other built-in features include port mirroring, ingress and egress bandwidth rate limiting, spanning tree protocol for Layer 2 loop prevention, and Realtek Cable Test function to detect cable open circuit, short circuit and cable length. System configuration parameters can be automatically loaded from external EEPROM after power-on, and register access and configuration can be realized via SMI, MIIM and SPI host management interfaces.

    Power Supply and Clock Design

    The device uses 3.3V as I/O power supply, and internal integrated LDO generates dedicated core voltage to simplify peripheral power circuit layout. Only one external 25MHz passive crystal oscillator is required to provide system reference clock. Multiple low-power dormant modes and link idle power saving mechanism reduce overall power consumption when ports are disconnected or stay inactive. Programmable LED indicator pins are reserved for each port to display link status, connection speed and data transmission activity.

    Package and Mechanical Information

    Package type is 128-pin LQFP quad flat leaded package with exposed thermal pad. Moisture Sensitivity Level is MSL 3, and reflow soldering must be completed within 168 hours after opening the vacuum moisture-proof package. The bottom exposed thermal pad effectively reduces thermal resistance and ensures stable heat dissipation during long-term high-load continuous data forwarding.
