    This is a miniature isolated RS485 bus transceiver module integrating isolated power, signal isolation and bus transceiver circuit all in one, directly converting MCU TTL level signals into differential RS485 bus signals to achieve electrical isolation between control end and field bus lines.

    Part Number Definition

    RSM represents the compact isolated RS485 module product line. 485 refers to compliance with standard RS485 half-duplex communication protocol. M stands for miniaturized integrated isolation structure with built-in isolated power supply inside the module.

    Core Electrical Performance Parameters

    Input working voltage supports 3.3V and 5V two common mainstream power supply options, directly docking most single-chip microcomputer and embedded main control circuits. Communication baud rate ranges from 1200bps up to 500kbps, complying with TIA/EIA-485-A industry specification. The isolation voltage between signal side and bus side reaches 2500VDC, effectively eliminating ground potential difference interference and greatly improving anti-interference performance in industrial field wiring environments. Up to 32 bus nodes can be connected on a single RS485 trunk line. The module integrates bus short-circuit protection, overvoltage protection and multi-level ESD surge protection. When abnormal bus voltage or short circuit occurs, it will automatically limit current to avoid burning out the main control circuit. Static power consumption is low, suitable for battery-powered low-power terminal devices.

    Packaging and Assembly Specifications

    Standard DIP8 through-hole packaging is used with small overall size to save PCB layout space. The shell uses flame retardant insulating material. It is a moisture sensitive component, and reflow soldering needs to be completed within 168 hours after opening the original vacuum package. Tube packaging is provided to match automatic plug-in production assembly.

    Environmental and Compliance Standards

    Operating temperature range is -40℃ to +85℃, adapting to cabinet equipment, outdoor monitoring and vehicle-mounted equipment with severe temperature changes. The product adopts lead-free production technology and meets RoHS environmental control requirements. Compared with the scheme of separate isolation power plus discrete transceiver chip, it reduces the number of peripheral devices and simplifies circuit design.
