    This is an automotive-grade four-channel GMSL2/GMSL1 deserializer developed by Analog Devices (Maxim Integrated), specially designed for vehicle multi-camera visual transmission systems. It converts long-distance coaxial cable high-speed serial video signals into standard MIPI CSI-2 digital signals to feed vehicle main computing chips, widely deployed in advanced driver assistance systems and vehicle panoramic vision modules.

    MAX96724 stands for quad-channel tunneling type GMSL to CSI-2 deserialization core chip series. GTN represents standard functional configuration version. /VY+ denotes automotive qualified specification with wettable flank pins for reliable vehicle board soldering.

    Equipped with four independent configurable GMSL receiving channels, forward transmission rate supports 6Gbps and 3Gbps for GMSL2, backward compatible with 3.12Gbps GMSL1 protocol. The reverse control channel reaches 187.5Mbps under GMSL2 mode, used for camera register configuration, parameter adjustment and equipment status feedback.

    Supports two mainstream MIPI output modes: D-PHY and C-PHY, configurable as 2 groups ×4 lanes or 4 groups ×2 lanes CSI-2 output. Single lane D-PHY maximum rate 2.5Gbps, C-PHY single lane up to 5.7Gbps, capable of receiving and processing multiple 8-megapixel high-definition camera images simultaneously.

    Built-in video stream aggregation and replication functions, which can combine multi-channel camera data into one output port or copy single video stream to multiple ports flexibly. It automatically completes D-PHY to C-PHY protocol conversion, adapting to different vehicle SoC interface requirements.

    Adopts multi-group segmented power supply architecture, core core voltage ranges 0.95V~1.05V, analog and digital auxiliary power rails cover 1.2V and 1.8V~3.3V, matching vehicle standard power domain design. It reserves 9 programmable general GPIO pins and dual I2C buses up to 1Mbps for peripheral device expansion and system debugging.

    Integrated cable adaptive equalization circuit, automatically compensates signal attenuation caused by long coaxial cables, supports 50Ω coaxial line and 100Ω shielded twisted pair wiring, and carries PoC cable power supply function to supply power to front-end cameras through the same transmission line.

    Adopts 56-pin SWTQFN exposed pad surface mount packaging, overall dimension 8mm×8mm, the bottom large-area metal pad efficiently dissipates heat during continuous high-speed operation. Wettable side pin design is convenient for automatic optical inspection after welding to meet automotive production quality standards.

    Moisture sensitivity grade MSL3, all reflow welding operations must be finished within 168 hours after opening the original vacuum package. It is delivered in tray packaging, suitable for large-scale automated SMT mounting of automotive circuit boards.
