DS3231MZ is a high-precision I²C real-time clock (RTC) from Analog Devices (Maxim Integrated), built with an integrated MEMS temperature-compensated oscillator (TCXO). It delivers ultra-stable timekeeping across wide temperature ranges and serves as a drop-in upgrade for traditional crystal-based RTCs like DS1307 and standard DS3231.
👉 It differs from basic low-accuracy RTCs without built-in TCXO and discrete external crystal designs. Its embedded MEMS resonator eliminates external crystal components, delivers ±5ppm high precision, and offers superior shock/vibration resistance for industrial and battery-powered embedded systems.
